Calf Stretch for Neutral Pelvis Alignment

By Kelly Dean

Our alignment is influenced by all of our movements throughout the day. When we are walking every step we take can make an impact on our pelvic alignment and therefore our functional core and pelvic floor activation. Shoe choices and compensation patterns can result in tight calf muscles and therefore impact our step length, our leg position and our pelvic alignment. When working on improving our posture, we often start with the feet. This standing in stride calf stretch can make a big impact for a small investment. You will need a small hand weight or a rolled up hand towel for this stretch to be effective. It is also best done barefoot. Get your supplies and join me in this very effective calf release.
