Your Core and the Pushing Phase

Keep in mind that the uterus pushes the baby out, not you holding your breath and bearing down. Your core supports the uterus and your pelvic floor opens and the uterus squeezes the baby inch by inch down the birth canal. This only works this way when you have prepared these muscles. Trying to learn a brand new thing to do with your body during the most intense stage of childbirth is unwise and ineffective. Prenatal Core Training is what we do at The Tummy Team.
