Diastasis Prevention in Pregnancy

Diastasis recti is the overstretching of the connective tissue that runs down the center of your abdominal wall. This condition is common in pregnancy but can be prevented. This lesson is going to talk about the importance of being proactive with your core in pregnancy to prevent diastasis recti.

Avoid pushing out on your tummy. Yes, the baby is pushing out on your tummy but you don’t have to add to that pressure. Sit and stand tall throughout the day, avoid crunches and crunched activities and avoid pushing out on your tummy.
