Let’s Define Prolapse

There is a lot of confusing information on the internet about prolapse, we are here to bring a calm voice of reason and reassurance. In this lesson, we define prolapse and discuss the main causes (spoiler alert, it is not simply vaginal childbirth). We will also begin to clarify why prolapse causes certain symptoms. Knowledge is power and can help move you from a panicky feeling toward hope and action. Let's get started.

Stop and rest. We cannot stress this enough. If you are feeling a heaviness, bulging, ball like feeling or any anxiety in your pelvic floor, the most important thing you can do is sit down or if possible lie down and put your feet up. Removing the the strain of gravity and gripping muscles from the weak area can help for muscles relax and the organs shift back into their healthy position.
