Bathing the Kids

For years, when my kids were little, I would sit on the toilet seat and bend forward to wash hair and scrub little bodies. My body we hunched forward and twisted and my back hurt every time. It was exhausting. Once I understood how my posture was impacting my core and how connected it was to my back pain and diastasis, I started looking at different strategies. Making a few changes in how you approach this nightly routine can make a huge difference.

Use what you have. Most of the time you have a stool or an extra towel in the bathroom to help you set up a space for you to sit or kneel better. Making a simple adjustment can make a big difference.
