Elongate. Your transverse abdominis is postural and structural in nature first. So simply starting to focus on elongating your torso throughout all of your upright postures can actually encourage the transverse abdominis to start doing more work. This can be challenging as the uterus grows but it is essential to help you have the strength you need for the challenges to come.
