Know Your Anatomy

The uterus is housed in your core between your pelvis and rib cage. The muscles of your core, diaphragm, and pelvic floor are all vital to being able to support the uterus and your body as the baby grows throughout your pregnancy. Understanding your anatomy is the first step to promoting optimal fetal alignment throughout your pregnancy. This lesson will teach you more and get you ready for the next step.

Massage your core. Spend some time massaging your core. Feel where the muscles attach to your spine. How the transverse wraps around your torso. The connection to your pelvis and your ribs and feel how it moves as you breath. Connecting to your body while visualizing the anatomy can help you really feel the role the core will play moving forward.
