Standing Breath Work

Using back support in sitting can help master the breathing strategies at first but ultimately we want to be able to use the breath to connect to our core all the time in all postures and positions. This lesson will help you avoid the common compensations that interfere with using the breath for core connection in standing. Let's get started.

Practice in standing. Waiting in line, standing in the shower, standing on an elevator, or any other time you are standing. Practice a full belly breath with an intentional exhale and TA hold. Be sure you shift your weight or wiggle your legs to avoid unnecessary compensations.
