Standing Lower Back Foam Roller Releases

It is really common for clients with functional core weakness to struggle with SI joint instability and low back tightness and pain. Applying counterpressure to those joints and creating opportunities to release and open up those areas can help support optimal alignment and retrain the body to use the core as it was intended. Standing to create some counterpressure without too much pressure is a great initial step. See how this feels before doing the backlying version.

Set a routine that is best for you. My routine is before bed typically but for a long time my family would rotate turns on the foam roller while watching tv at night. Some people like the morning or on lunch break. Routine will be best so figure out what works for you so you can get consistent.
