Permission to Feel

Often we don't even realize how much we limit our emotions. Part of the core trauma recovery process is validating whatever feeling we reveals itself. Give it it's moment. This lesson helps you understand the importance of this step and why it might be helpful to get out your journal again.

Identify what you feel. Name it so you can validate it, feel it and process it. So often in the midst of trauma or grief we are simply trying to survive so we press down all those powerful and distracting emotions into our gut. To move forward we need to unearth them, feel them and move them aside.
