Triggers

When trauma is stored in the memories of the muscles we can to over react to similar sensations, situations or environments. We see this when we first start touching and activating the core. There can be unexpected emotions and feelings that arise and it can sometimes derail the rehab process. This lesson will unpack more about this.

Deep Breaths. Remember that taking a deep breath with an intentional exhale and calm your over activated nervous system. The nature of a trigger is that it happens when you are not actually in danger so identifying it and calming your nervous system proactively can stop that over reaction in its tracks.
