Our body is filled with nerves that communicate from our brain to our muscles and back. When we have a healthy connection we can easily feel the muscles and the muscles respond well but trauma can cause us to disconnect and rely on numbness to survive. Often we stay in the numb and disconnected state long after the trauma has passed and that can impact how our body heals and rebuilds strength. This lesson will share more.

Hug your tummy. We talk a lot about the power of physical touch. Placing your hands on your tummy for deep pressure, massage or simply holding your core like a hug can help begin the reconnection process.
