Hi there,

I'm Kelly

I'm a physical therapist that has spent my life specializing in the rehabilitation of the internal muscles of the abdominals and back. My mission today is to validate your story and offer practical, real-world education to help you understand what I've seen in my 20+ years of clinical practice.

After graduating with a master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of North Dakota in 1997, I started pursuing my dream of helping others. But when, after several pregnancies, I started to suffer severe back pain and a protruding weak core, my journey took on a new focus. Today, as the owner & founder of The Tummy Team, I am dedicated to fully understanding the neuromuscular, postural, and alignment issues that contribute to core weakness and abdominal separation. I have applied these approaches in my clinics and now I developed a way for people to see the same results through online resources.

"My birth went great!"

For the first time EVER (this is my fourth baby), I had an optimally positioned baby! I pushed for 10 minutes, instead of 45 minutes, or 2 1/2 hours like the other births, and this is the big thing….I needed no stitches! It’s amazing how different recovery is when you’re not in pain. I am so thankful for this program!

I took Prenatal Core Training while pregnant with my 5th baby, and had a wonderful labor and even better recovery. With my previous 4, I felt very disconnected from my core after delivery. My organs were sore, and I had trouble knowing how to function (sit up in bed, stand with baby) in ways that felt strong and activated. Her course gave me the tools to push more effectively and to feel strong and confident in my recovery.

"I am 52 and I have struggled with back pain for much of my life."

I had a discectomy surgery between my L3 and L4. Recurring lower back pain has impacted my work and general outlook on life. I have a physical job as a Zoo Keeper and do general gardening and handyman work at home. I did Core Foundations for Men and noticed a significant improvement in my back pain in the first 4 weeks. I like the simplicity of Kelly’s approach. She is a clear communicator.
